Our advice and guidance are focused exclusively on growth companies. Companies that are doing well and growing rapidly are faced with very specific issues and challenges. Many of these issues revolve around typical turning points, which is something all growth companies will experience (several times).
An entrepreneur will play a pivotal role in preparing the company for the next phase; only he does not always realize this. Our Paquay & Associates approach consists of closely involving entrepreneurs in our projects. This requires a fair amount of commitment from the owner or CEO, because without their commitment, even the best change processes are a dead letter.
A good entrepreneur must be able to stand back every now and again. There are two things needed if you want to do this: you must think outside the box and dare to ask questions. The latter is easier to do if you have a sounding board. You need an outsider, who can cast an open and critical eye on the matters in hand. However, you will rarely find someone within your company to do that. It is good to have an outsider who is able to think 'out-of-the-box'.
